Evening concert De Stag
Flowers, plants, birds and the sea take centre stage this evening. Julius Backer shows his most poetic side in Sibelius' cycle The Trees, interspersed with music by Messiaen and Schumann. The duo Deborah Witteveen and Maxime Snaterse explore a flower, a weed, a sad branch or another exotic flower. Ana-Carmen Balestra, with Backer at the piano, closes the evening with true poetry; the Dutch Classical Talent laureate reveals something of her Argentine roots.
