Evening concert De Stag
The duo HAMRAAZ – formed in 2021 at Codarts in Rotterdam – weaves duduk, flute, tanbour and tar into lively soundscapes, ancient yet radically contemporary. Lucie Lelaurian and Khorshid Dabdeh play as one. Their music floats like clouds – listen to their album Abr – deeply rooted in Iranian and Armenian traditions. The audience automatically breathes along with their rhythmic and expressive world. Equally impressive is the performance by Ramon van Engelenhoven, who arranged Korngold's Sea Hawk Suite for solo piano. While he performs this Oscar-nominated music from 1941, images from the film complete the evening.
