Evening concert De Stag

Schiermonnikoog welcomes young performing talent and the youngest generation of composers. Together with the festival, they develop new work especially for the island. Pol Stam composes along de Taalroute (the Language Route), nine poems in the Schiermonnikoog or Eilauners dialect. Catelijn van Berkel, winner of the Wonderfeel Wings in 2025, premieres this new work with her vocal ensemble. Her programme also touches on new and old, concluding with the stirring tearjerker And so it goes. With the barely 14-year-old Georgia Koumentakou, we travel to the über-virtuoso world of Wieniawski, before landing at Brahms' Clarinet Quintet. The Viatores Quartet from Berlin meets their Italian fellow citizen Lorenzo Dainelli, perhaps the clarinettist of the future.
