Evening concert Got Tjark
This year, you can hear the masterclass students perform in the Got Tjark in the evenings. We start with the Canadian Katarina String Quartet, founded in Montréal and now resident at The Juilliard School.
In his Op. 50 No. 2, Haydn sounds at his sharpest: clearly defined themes, unexpected modulations, underlying irony and playfulness. Strict and light at the same time, with an almost talkative dialogue between the four voices. For Clara Schumann's Romances, Andalusian violinist Laura Morales and Vietnamese pianist Thuy-Anh Vuong join forces; the triptych was a gift for Joseph Joachim, guide of the young Romanticism. Finally, German-Hungarian Tabea Streicher plays two downright spectacular keyboard works.
