Outdoor performance
Ferlûden – Stemmen van Schier (Voices of Schier) is a new vocal suite by Groningen composer Pol Stam. For this composition, Pol set the poems of De Taalroute to music: a poetic route that has been guiding visitors past texts in Schiermonnikoogs since 2010. The audience cycles the route with a native islander as a guide, who enriches the tour with stories about the history, language and culture of the island. This creates an intense and sensory experience in which music, poetry and language reinforce each other. It promises to be an encounter with the island that you not only hear, but also feel, learn and experience.
