Salon de Thé

Schiermonnikoog shines a light on young and sometimes astoundingly young talent. This afternoon, Belgian violinist Georgia Koumentakou and her compatriot Akari Bastiaens on piano shimmer in Beethoven's Sonata for violin and piano. Gerbrich Greidanus follows on euphonium. The euphonium is a regular feature in wind orchestras, but a rarely inspiring solo instrument for 20th-century composers.

Jorian van Nee then joins his piano duo partner Katie Yao Morgan to weave his own composition into a sparkling romantic programme ranging from Brahms to Poulenc via the pertinently self-assured composer Maria Jaëll.

Note: this concert at De Stag is unplaced.
