At last you get to meet Dutch pianist Abel Hox solo, after his duo performances. Since his cum laude in The Hague, he spread wings towards Italy and Belgium, where he now works under the guidance of masters such as Enrico Pace. Up and ready, he enters for two monster works from the iron repertoire, starting with Chopin's Nocturne. Or what about Brahms' variations on a 1733 theme? In 1861, the composer set out to prove that technique and tradition still had their place in a world full of Wagner.
