Evening concert De Stag
Schumann closes the weekend lyrically. Suffer deliciously with a poet - tragically - in love in the words of Heine, interpreted by the curious baritone Michael Wilmering. Or Schumann's instrumental love song opus 70, originally titled Romance & allegro, tenderness followed by exuberant joy. The horn work was also immediately issued in versions for violin and cello! And then there is the intimate Piano Quartet, a dialogue between Schumann's dreamy and his fiery, unpredictable side. They don't make them that Romantic anymore!
