Lost & Found
This afternoon, flutist Kersten McCall and harpist Joost Willemze will welcome you to their atelier, where they are putting the finishing touches to some lesser-played chamber music works from the early 20th century. Three composers of whom the general public and even specialists had hardly heard. Such as Jean Cras, who alternated his successful career as a composer with a career in the French navy. Or Alexandre Tansman, whose music his Polish colleagues found far too daring, and who therefore went to Paris to make a splash in the circle of Martinů and other foreigners. Or Charlotte Sohy, who sometimes had to publish under Claude Roland in order to attract the attention she deserved with her music.
