Piano for Breakfast (early)
Henry Lewis is artistically driven by a deep curiosity and refined sensitivity. His interpretive style is infused with a sculptor’s instinct—he approaches music as a form of sound sculpture, revealing layers and bringing hidden meanings to life. This approach has taken him to venues including Hellensmusic, The Two Moors Festival, Lichfield Festival, Dartington Festival, St George’s Bristol, The Barbican’s Milton Court, and St Martin-in-the-Fields. And Schiermonnikoog, where he won a Festival Award earlier this year. You’ll hear him solo this morning, including in Franck’s spiritual Prélude, Choral et Fugue, but keep an eye out for his chamber music performances later in the festival.
