Prodigies

Middagconcert

Prodigies among themselves. ‘Prodigies’ brings Mozart and Arriaga together – two composers who, from a young age, wrote music that sounds anything but childish. It was not for nothing that Arriaga was dubbed the ‘Spanish Mozart’: if you listen closely, you can sometimes hear in his First String Quartet how he almost literally mirrors Mozart’s First Piano Quartet.

In this concert, you’ll be introduced to the German-Russian violinist Alissa Margulis: once a child prodigy herself, she has since become a leading figure on the international stage.

And as if that weren’t enough, there’s also a Secret Scores surprise from another young genius. An afternoon full of wonders!
