Violin for Breakfast (early)
Festival Award winner Céleste Klingelschmidt is still in the middle of her studies at the Paris Conservatoire, but is already making waves at festivals and competitions worldwide. After her convincing performance this spring, she returns to our island with two absolute pioneers. The Caprice by Eugène Ysaÿe demands playful precision and refined elegance, with glittering runs. Charming and virtuoso, with a touch of salon irony. Debussy's Violin Sonata was one of the late works with which the composer wanted to bring back the French grandeur of yesteryear, although he soon looked back on it less positively. And we? We no longer share his doubts!
