Bach for Breakfast
Ontbijtconcert
Waking up to Bach – there are worse ways to start the day. In the intimate setting of the RK-Chapel, his music is given free rein: clear, serene and immediate.
Violinist Noa Wildschut plays the first four movements from Bach’s Second Partita: dances that shift effortlessly between contemplation and virtuosity. Together they form a balanced whole that naturally builds towards what is yet to come.
For the famous Chaconne will not be heard until the following day, performed by violinist Niek Baar. This concert thus feels like a prelude – a first step into Bach’s world. The opening remains a secret for now: a Secret Scores piece by a predecessor who allowed the violin to speak entirely for itself.
