Ornithologist Seán Ronayne has an extraordinary mission: to record the sound of every bird species in Ireland — nearly 200 in total. Together with his partner Alba, he travels to remote locations such as Skellig Michael, the Burren, Tory Island and the hills of Donegal to capture rare sounds and birdsong. Seán's hypersensitivity to sound is both a challenge and a gift. His story is one of dedication, attentive listening and the fragile bond between humans and nature. An inspiring and moving film about what sound can tell us — and what we risk losing if we stop listening.
