Recording advice

How do you prepare for a CD recording? What happens with the recording after it’s finished and what can (and can’t) a record label do for you? Want to find out?

Frerik will be giving coachings about how to make a professional recording. He will answer allyour questions concerning producing a CD. Frerik is founder and label manager of ‘7 Mountain Records’. He released over 40 albums and he has worked with many established classical musicians over the past decade.

Assignment – deadline Wednesday 6 March
Please write a letter (max one page) to Frerik in which you pitch your plan for a new recording to an international recording label. Please take the following questions into consideration:

• Introduce yourself and describe the repertoire you would like to record?
• How do you distinguish yourself from other similar recordings?
• What story do you want to tell with this CD?
• How do you want to promote your album?
